EPISODE 1
A Tale of Two Road Trips
The journey begins in San Francisco, where Jackson & Crocker kicked off their adventure in 1903. Our original road trippers were motivated by a $50 bet. Today, Court & Nate have their own reasons for making their first journey east.
EPISODE 2
Dogs, Dust, and Detours
Court & Nate have an old timey Old West adventure in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They also experience an echo of Jackson & Crocker’s time there, when the pair’s 1903 Winton touring car had a near catastrophic breakdown.
EPISODE 3
The Roads We Share
Jackson & Crocker were greeted by a caravan of automobile enthusiasts when they arrived in Chicago. Court & Nate prove the Midwestern passion for cars lives on at the World’s Largest Truck Stop in Iowa and a gathering of lowrider clubs in Libertyville, Illinois.

The Automotive Heart of America
Court & Nate take a detour from the original route. They visit the U. S. Steel Automotive Center in Troy, Michigan, and immerse themselves in the unique vibe of the Motor City.

End of the Road
Our two timelines intersect in this tour through the Hudson River Valley, where Court & Nate encounter a gorgeous natural landscape not too different from what Jackson & Crocker saw over a century ago. We end in New York City, where Jackson & Crocker were greeted as heroes, and where Court & Nate experience vanlife like never before.
Meet our travelers
Modern-day adventurers who live life on the road
Court & Nate met in California while working valet and soon decided they wanted a life full of travel and exploration—but also simplicity. They custom built the van of their dreams. Then, in 2019, they started their adventures with Tonkins, their Dobie-Lab mix, in tow. Six years later they’re amazed and grateful to have captured the imagination of millions of followers.
Coast-to-coast before there was coast-to-coast
It all started with a $50 bet. Dr. Horatio Jackson, who didn’t even own an automobile, stood up to a chorus of San Francisco society types who insisted the car would never be bested by the horse. Four days later Jackson was joined by engine mechanic Sewell Crocker, who helped pilot the 1903 open-air Winton touring car. In Caldwell, Idaho, they picked up a bulldog named Bud, and the rest is history.
